About:
Tree Planting Event & Nature Photography
One academic year, unpaid – estimated 25-35 total hours
CanopyBloomington is seeking an intern to bring their professional skillset and creative aesthetic to photograph and deliver visual content for 8-10 tree-planting and community engagement events over the course of a year.
CanopyBloomington is a 501(c)(3) social impact organization formed in 2021 and based in Bloomington, Indiana (read more about us at www.canopybloomington.org). We engage our community in the planting and caring for our urban forest together, in order to build a resilient and equitably green city for all. We envision an urban forest created by everyone for everyone.
Our ideal applicant for this position is someone reliable, independent and has the ability to document the atmosphere, significance, and highlights of an event through photography. An ideal candidate should also be interested in photographing outdoors in natural light, the importance of urban forests and environmental equity.
This is an exciting opportunity to help CanopyBloomington continue to tell its story and substantially increase awareness, excitement and support for the organization and mission. Your images will help Canopy do so.
