Austin Francalancia is a four-time Emmy-nominated producer and former film executive where he oversaw the acquisition and production of films such as “Chef,” “Nightcrawler,” and Academy Award-winner “Spotlight.” He has produced projects such as Netflix and Time Inc.’s Emmy-nominated “The Mars Generation,” 1091 Pictures’ “11-8-16,” UFC’s Emmy-nominated “25 Years in Short,” Hulu’s “Changing the Game,” and Amazon’s Academy Award-nominated “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.”
BA'89, television writer, producer and creator
Mike Kelley is an award-winning television writer, producer, and creator. Starting his professional career working as a production assistant in Los Angeles, he has gone on to write and produce hundreds of episodes of TV beginning in the late 90s, including NBC’s “Providence,” The CW’s “One Tree Hill,” Fox’s “The OC,” and CBS’s “Jericho.”
BA'02, freelance executive & consulting producer
Lisa Levey started her career in New York in various outlets of live, scripted, and non-fiction television and film, eventually landing a role working at the NBA. She produced several Emmy-nominated specials and series for ESPN and FOX Sports Net. After producing an action sports series for MTV, she then moved to their news and docs department and began freelance producing and directing television series for various networks, including MTV, Bravo, TLC, Oxygen, Lifetime, VH1, and Showtime. Lisa now focuses on consulting and running series post-production most recently for Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," and upcoming new series for Roku, A&E, and National Geographic.
BA’06, artistic director, Heartland Film
Greg is the artistic director for Heartland Film in Indianapolis, where he leads the film programming team behind the annual Heartland International Film Festival and Oscar/BAFTA-qualifying Indy Shorts International Film Festival events. He is a liaison to major studios, filmmakers, and members of the industry and regularly serves on panels and juries. Greg is also a senior associate programmer with the Tribeca Festival short films team and received the Spirit of Windrider Award at the Windrider Summit, part of the Sundance Film Festival, earlier this year.
BS'06 (finance), VP, content partnerships, Hulu
Ryan Roemer oversees his Hulu content team driving the global film licensing for Hulu and Disney+ across all US-based distributors. Roemer is responsible for setting the investment and programming strategy for the film portfolio and supporting the Walt Disney Company’s studio partners to deliver some of the most in-demand titles to subscribers. Prior to joining Hulu, Roemer was a manager of content planning and analysis at Netflix where he helped lead content strategy, budgeting, and deal valuation for a global content acquisition team. Roemer began his career at NBCUniversal where he was a member of General Electric’s financial management program, and worked within production finance at Universal Pictures.
