Every year, The Media School identifies its most promising incoming media, cinematic arts, and game design majors and provides them with enhanced resources to ensure they’ll reach their full potential: faculty mentorship, advanced coursework, and travel and professional development opportunities. This selective cohort of students is called the Media Scholars.
Media Scholars earn a departmental honors notation by completing a rigorous academic program of up to six honors courses, including a senior capstone project.
Each cohort of Media Scholars is assigned a faculty mentor. The professor teaches two of the group’s honors courses, travels with the students, and is a resource for academic and professional advice.
Media Scholars travel regionally, nationally, and internationally together with their mentor to study media.

Spend spring break of your sophomore year in New York City. You’ll visit media organizations and network with alumni. (Free)
Intern at a media organization and take a class on British media as a student in the Summer in London Honors Program during the summer between your sophomore and junior years. (Partially subsidized)
