FF012C is a data collection room for psychophysiological media research. This lab room allows you to deliver visual and auditory media stimuli while tracking participants' physiological responses to the media including heart rate, skin conductance and small facial muscle movements (microexpressions) indicating emotional state.
This experimental room is divided into an experimenter space and a participant space by a privacy wall. The participant space provides a comfortable viewing environment with an arm chair and a 42-inch TV monitor to deliver visual and audio material. This room is set up for the experimenter to deliver media via MediaLab/DirectRT and collect psychophysiological data through Biopac AcqKnowledge. It is set up to collect participant EDA, ECG, facial EMG (corrugator supercilli and zygomatic or orbicularis oculi/eye blink), and self-reported data.
