Biography
Ruby Berin is a first-year M.S. student in the Media School with an emphasis in Documentary/Nonfiction Production. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology at California State University Channel Islands in May 2020. In her senior year of her undergraduate career, Ruby became fascinated by the media world. Since then, she’s wanted to bridge the gap between science and media. Ruby wants to learn about the art of storytelling through different mediums that connect people together.
She loves the natural world and hopes to make stories for people to engage in, feel inspired by, and want to share together. During her time at Indiana University, Ruby wants to learn how to navigate this media-centric world from her peers/professors and how a single idea can turn into an impactful story to tell.
