Di Cui a first-year master’s student at the Media School, specializing in data journalism. Her interests are investigative journalism, nonfiction writing, digital media, gender and technology, and data-driven news storytelling. She received her bachelor’s degree in radio and television from Nantong University and her master’s degree in journalism and communication from Jinan University.
Before coming to Indiana University, she worked as an editor at a media company in Beijing, covering gender issues extensively. She was also a contributing writer for Southern Weekly, Tencent News’ Guyu Lab (a news platform that focuses on non-fiction writing), and a contributing anchor for the Southern Weekly podcast.
