Biography
I am a Ph.D. student in the Media School, originally from Jamaica. My academic background consists of two degrees in Media and Communication. I’ve worked previously in publishing and web design and now I am preparing myself to be a full-time researcher in the field of communication. My central focus for research is on technology policy and access issues, particularly, emerging media, changing environments and digital divides. I am also interested in how the internet and emerging technologies impact on human rights in positive and negative ways, including limitations on access to the internet, security and privacy considerations and, gender-based online harassment.
