Biography
I am a current PhD Candidate in Media Studies at Indiana University Bloomington. I grew up in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Art History & Visual Studies. Although I came to IU to study cinema, I became entranced with broadcast history especially television.
My research interests include Science & Technology Studies, Broadcasting History, Local/Regional/National histories, and Cultural Geography. My dissertation-in-progress examines how the postwar American broadcast industry coalesced around geography, both physical and cultural. Currently developing my case studies.
