Environmental Communication
Faculty are interested in the relationship between humanity, media and the environment. Research by environmental communication faculty examines the efficacy of persuasive messages about the environment, particularly climate change, in terms of changing audience attitudes and behaviors.
In addition, they environmental and science journalism and communications by environmental advocacy organizations. They employ a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods and examine a variety of media texts, including social media, newspapers, documentaries, television, archives and more.
