Washington Post team including 3 alumni wins Pulitzer
Three IU alumni were part of The Washington Post team that won this year’s Pulitzer Prize in national reporting for its examination of the AR-15 semi-automatic rifle as the weapon often used for mass shootings in America.
Among the many journalists that contributed to the Post’s coverage were:
- Matthew Callahan, BAJ’13, deputy design director: “Terror on repeat,” “Flannel, muddy girl camo and man cards. See the ads used to sell the AR-15.”
- Matt McClain, BAJ’98, staff photojournalist: “After Sandy Hook, they voted no. Now these senators want new gun laws.”
- Chet Strange, BAJ’13, photojournalist: “After Sandy Hook, they voted no. Now these senators want new gun laws.”
