Student animation project hits over 2 million YouTube views
3D animation student Ben Johnson completed a years-long fan animation project for the YouTube channel Hello There. The film is a 3D animation of the final scene in “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.”
Johnson worked on the project in Rush Swope’s G340 3D Animation course, and the video, “CLONE WARS: BATTLE OF THE HEROES – A Star Wars Fan Animation,” has already received over 2 million views in just two weeks. The project was featured on the front page of IGN — a video game and entertainment website — and other tech news outlets. Others involved in the project include Tyler Grow, Mike Pierluissi, Nicholas Pawlenko, Byron Childs, Prajwal Kandel, Rafael Castano Marin, Luke Truan, Madison Debrock, Truman McCaw, and Chris Valencia.
