Spring 2024 Black Camera issue features ‘Finally Got the News’ highlight
The spring 2024 issue of Black Camera: An International Film Journal includes two “close-ups:” one about the African women’s cinematic history and evolution and one about the “Finally Got the News” 1970 documentary, which reveals the activities of the League of Revolutionary Black Workers inside and outside the auto factories of Detroit.
The publication also includes a new edition of the Olivier Barlet dossier devoted to an assessment of the 26th edition of the Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou.
A scholarly publication supported by The Media School, the journal is edited by professor Michael Martin. Additionally, Media School doctoral students Ahmed Tahsin Shams and Justin Bonthuys were appointed as assistant editors of Black Camera beginning this issue.
