Parameswaran joins journal’s editorial board
Professor Radhika Parameswaran has accepted an invitation to join the editorial board of the journal Women’s Studies in Communication.
WSIC, from the Organization for Research on Women and Communication, grants a Feminist Scholarship Award each year to the top essay published in the journal. It focuses on studies of the relationships between communication, gender, race, ethnicity and sexuality, among others.
Parameswaran’s research has focused on feminist and international cultural studies, gender and media globalization, South Asia and postcolonial studies.
She also is an editorial board member of other academic journals, including Communication and Critical/Cultural Studies, Asian Journal of Communication, Image of the Journalist in Popular Culture, Journal of Communication Inquiry and Communication Methods and Measures.
Recently, Parameswaran also accepted an invitation to serve for a third term on the editorial board of Critical Studies in Media Communication, which is a flagship journal of the National Communication Association.
