Ohio State film festival to spotlight BFC/A
The Black Film Center/Archive will be spotlighted at the Wexner Center for the Arts’ annual film festival at The Ohio State University next week.
The Cinema Revival: A Festival of Film Restoration will offer a series of virtual events between Feb. 25-28 available on the center’s website.
Relevant sessions include:
- A conversation between Terri Francis, BFC/A director and associate professor, and Dave Filipi, Wexner director of film/video, about the BFC/A’s history, its vital work and its unique position in the field of film education and preservation. (Noon Thursday)
- A Q&A session between Francis and artist and filmmaker Ja’Tovia Gary, who was named one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film by Filmmaker Magazinein 2017. (7 p.m. Thursday)
