Martin chairs roundtable at FESPACO film festival in Burkina Faso
Professor Michael Martin, director of the school’s Black Film Center/Archived, served in several capacities at the in the colloquium of the 25th FESPACO Training for Cinema and Audiovisual Professions at the Panafricain Film and Television Festival in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, Feb. 25 to March 4.
Martin moderated the colloquium, which addressed the role of media professionals in audio-visual training, and he served on the committee that drafted the Manifesto of Ouagadougou.
He was moderator and speaker for the workshop, “Les Professionnels de Terrain el les Mediateurs Culturels ont la Parole.”
