Lanosga receives IRE fellowship
Assistant professor Gerry Lanosga was named a recipient of the David Donald Fellowship for Data Journalism.
The fellowship, sponsored by Investigate Reporters and Editors, allows Lanosga to attend the IRE and Computer-Assisted Reporting Conference in Chicago.
David Donald, the namesake for the fellowship, was a former IRE training director and data journalist who worked with computer-assisted reporting. The fellowship supports journalism educators by equipping them to teach students how to be effective watchdogs through data.
