Introducing the newest class of Ernie Pyle Scholars and Media Scholars
The Media School welcomes a class of honors students each year. The class has two parallel programs, the Ernie Pyle Scholars for journalism students and the Media Scholars for media and game design students.
Eighteen Ernie Pyle Scholars and 11 Media Scholars comprise this year’s class. These students are directly admitted into their major and receive opportunities and benefits, such as honors classes and travel opportunities.
Meet the Ernie Pyle Scholars
From: Fishers, Indiana
Lives by the motto: “Keep moving forward.”
In 10 years, she hopes to: be in New York, drinking coffee and changing the world.
From: Carmel, Indiana (by way of Fairfax, Virginia)
Lives by the motto: “Honor above all.”
In 10 years, he hopes to: have earned his law degree, though he’s not sure where that will take him.
From: France
Lives by the motto: No motto, but she thinks of the future and all she wants to accomplish, and that guides and motivates her.
In 10 years, she hopes to: be an investigative journalist for a major newspaper in Chicago or New York.
From: Indianapolis
Lives by the motto: “Love each other.”
In 10 years, he hopes to: be doing what he loves.
From: Falls Church, Virginia

In 10 years, she hopes to: be in Seattle or San Francisco working for a fashion publication or music platform.

In 10 years, she hopes to: be a public relations specialist for a fashion magazine or organization.
