Graney, MacDonald participate at AMIA
Two from the school’s Black Film Center/Archive participated in the Association of Moving Image Archivists 2016 Conference in Pittsburgh Nov. 12.
Brian Graney, senior archivist and head of public and technology services at the archive, and Megan MacDonald, project archivist, reported on the Richard E. Norman and Race Filmmaking: Reprocessing and Digitization project. The project, launched in 2015, aims to move the Norman collection online and available to the public.
Graney also presented at Action for Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity during the conference. His work will be published in The Moving Image.
Graney was part of an opening panel introducing AMIA members to diversity programs at a number of schools, including Simmons College, the University of Chicago and University of California, Santa Barbara.
