Etem reviews Marshall Plan film campaign book
Doctoral candidate Aysehan Jülide Etem published a review of Maria Fritsche’s book, “The American Marshall Plan Film Campaign and the Europeans: A Captivated Audience?” in Alphaville: Journal of Film and Screen Media.
The book is about the Marshall Plan film campaign that took place during the Cold War and how it aimed to encourage trade between Europe and the United States.
Etem’s review focuses on how Fritsche’s book differs from others on the same topic by delving deeper into the concept of “cultural transfer,” or how products and cultures from one area are transferred and adapted for another.
