Ellcessor book addresses media access for people with disabilities
Assistant professor Elizabeth Ellcessor is the author of a new book, Restricted Access: Media, Disability and the Politics of Participation, published March 29 by New York University Press.
In her book, Ellcessor uses historical, policy, interview and ethnographic analyses to look at how people with disabilities access digital media. She argues that media access is key to understanding participatory media and the inclusion of marginalized populations.
