Conway elected AJHA second vice president
Associate professor Mike Conway was elected second vice president of the American Journalism Historians Association — a three-year position that will culminate with a year as president during 2021-22.
He also participated in a panel discussion featuring award-winning journalism history researchers at the organization’s conference earlier this month.
His presentation, “Publishing an Award-winning Journalism History Research Article,” was part of a panel that featured recent winners of the top article of the year award for American Journalism. He won the award in 2014 for his article, “The Origins of Television’s ‘Anchor Man’: Cronkite, Swayze, and Journalism Boundary Work.”
