Conway and Bennett to present at the Library of Congress Radio Preservation Task Force Conference

Professor Mike Conway and Media Manager/Archivist Josh Bennett have been invited to represent the Indiana Broadcast History Archive and The Media School at the Library of Congress Radio Preservation Task Force Conference in Washington, D.C. April 27-30. Conway is the director and Bennett is the archivist for the IBHA. Bennett will be part of a panel devoted to “Discovering and Describing New Collections.” Conway will be a panelist for “Archiving Broadcast Excellence: Accessioning and Commemorating Awards and Achievements in Sound History.”

The IBHA, founded at The Media School in 2019, is saving and highlighting the history of local television and radio stations in the Hoosier state through archive collection, promotion, digitization, and oral history interviews. Startup funding for IBHA has been provided by Indiana University’s Arts & Humanities Council and the New Frontiers in the Arts & Humanities Program.
