BFA student receives NATAS student scholarship
Media School rising senior Daisy Stricler received a Student Scholarship from the Central Great Lakes Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She received $2,500 and was honored at the 55th Great Lakes Emmy Awards.
The scholarship committee took note of Stricler’s excellent work submissions as an editor and sound designer in her scholarship application. The Central Great Lakes Chapter offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors and to college juniors or seniors who plan to pursue or are pursuing a career in the television industry.
Stricler is pursuing a B.F.A. in cinematic arts with a concentration in documentary filmmaking and biopics. She has a passion for sharing underrepresented stories, giving a voice to those often overlooked, and bringing awareness to diverse perspectives. She has held internships at production studios and a performing arts organization, and she will intern with the Center for Documentary Research and Practice at IU this fall.
