‘Irma Vep’ screening
“Irma Vep” is a film reflecting on the ’90s French cinema industry and the tension between art and commercial entertainment. Maggie Cheung, playing a version of herself, arrives in Paris to play the lead in a remake of Louis Feuillade’s 1915 crime serial “Les Vampires.”
The screening, hosted by the IU Cinema, is co-sponsored by The Media School. It is free but ticketed.
IU Cinema founding director Jon Vickers and Media School professor emeritus James Naremore will be present for the 25th anniversary screening.
