StackOBot soundtrack
Media School student Brenden Wood created a soundtrack for the StackOBot game during Professor Norbert Herber’s Sound and Games and Playable Media course.
The assignment challenged students to create the soundtrack for a complete (but silent) game. Students began with an Unreal Game Engine template and brought it to life with original sound design and music. Wood designed all of the sound effects, composed the original music, and implemented all of his work in Unreal using FMOD, a middleware application for game audio.
This video demo showcases both vertically and horizontally adaptive music as well as other adaptive sound design based on gameplay elements.
