Claire Karberg developed a campaign for Parlor Doughnuts, based on a lifestyle strategy and this single most compelling message: When you want to be transported to a destination, you eat a Parlor Doughnut.
Television: Hulu commercial
A man is looking at the case of doughnuts inside of Parlor. He spots the Campfire doughnut. Man starts to daydream. A scene is shown of the man with his son around a campfire. The man goes back to looking at the case of donuts. He spots the Churro doughnut. The man’s memory flashes back to being with his wife and family at the county fair eating churros. The cashier asks, “Have you decided on a doughnut?” The man says, “I’m going to need another minute.” The final scene shows a worker putting a variety of doughnuts into a box. The logo is shown. A woman says, “Parlor Doughnuts. Your place for destination doughnuts. Visit us on Kirkwood Ave!”
Man speaking: “Are you tired of being in the cold? Do you wish you were laying on a beach? Or how about sitting by a crackling fire in the mountains of Maine? If so, Bloomington’s favorite donut shop ‘Parlor Doughnuts’ is where you need to be. Pick up a Coconut Cream Filled or even a Bourbon Caramel to be transported to your favorite destination. Visit us on Kirkwood Ave to pick the doughnut of your dreams!”
