Movington
Students received three 100-foot rolls of 16mm color negative film and about 9 minutes of footage and were given total creative control to create a unique celluloid-based film.
“Movington” is inspired by Godfrey Reggio’s groundbreaking film “Koyaanisqatsi” (1982). It observes the unique movement, rhythms and tempos of Bloomington and its inhabitants. Unconventional editing and camerawork offer viewers the chance to see the everyday flows of IU from a new perspective.
