Housing Questionnaire

Summer in NYC housing questionnaire

Your Summer in New York City housing placement will be made with your submitted information taken into consideration.

Please answer the questions below to help The Media School determine your housing placement for the Summer in NYC program. Students will be housed in Educational Housing Services’ St. George Towers in Brooklyn Heights, New York. We will take your preferences into consideration, but we cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate all of your requests.

After housing assignments are finalized, students will receive a second BEX form that will allow The Media School to collect the appropriate housing fee based on your room choice (single, double or triple). This document will reflect the balance of what you owe for housing only, less the $500 deposit collected upon commitment to the program, in addition to the $200 program fee.

Students can expect to share an apartment with other student(s) of the same gender, unless a request for a specific roommate is made, and the request is mutual between both parties.

All dormitory-style apartments have basic student furnishings, their own private bathroom and air conditioning.

Communal kitchens are available for students’ use – kitchen wares such as utensils, pots, pans, flatware, etc., must be provided by the student.

If you have any special requests, please explain in an email to program manager Isabel Shanahan at ijshanah@iu.edu.

The information in this survey will be kept confidential.
