Take your game design to Tokyo
Perfect your game with feedback from experts in one of the world’s leading video game industries: Japan. International Game Design Practices is a four-credit, semester-long course during spring semester that builds upon a student’s existing game and puts it in front of Japanese game designers and gamers for critique, playtesting and review. The class includes spring break travel to Tokyo.
Taught by lecturer Rush Swope, the course will teach game design for a Japanese audience, with insight into logistics, marketing and design specific to this market. Students will meet with and pitch their games to representatives of Japanese studios, publishers and distributors.
