Bateman Competition team

The Bateman Competition is the Public Relations Student Society of America’s national case study competition for public relations students.

The competition will begin in late October 2019 and conclude in April 2020. If the team is selected as one of three national finalists, it will travel in early May to present its campaign in person to PRSSA judges. If not, then work concludes by mid-April.

Note that the IU Bateman Competition team(s) will meet outside of class during fall semester, and then in class during spring semester. The spring class (R480) is a three-credit elective and will be held 1-2:15 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.  You must be a current PRSSA member to participate in Bateman, and you must register to take the class this spring. The Bateman Competition can serve as a substitute for R429 PR Campaigns, if you have not yet taken that class.

Applications are due at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. Brief interviews will be conducted with applicants shortly thereafter.

Thank you for your interest in this year's Bateman Competition.

In it to win it!
