Student photographer

Description:

The School of Public Health-Bloomington Marketing and Communications team is looking for a student photographer to cover student, department, and school-wide events. Being able to work well with staff, faculty, and students on a professional level is a must. Applicants should work well in unfamiliar situations and be able to meet deadlines.

Essential Functions

•  The ideal student will know how to use the camera’s manual settings and have a basic knowledge of the Adobe Suite for photo editing.
• The right candidate will also have experience using digital SLR or mirrorless cameras, flash and the Adobe Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop).
• Additionally, this position will download images, catalog them with appropriate keywords and captions, and then upload photos to our image archive within a few hours after a shoot.

This paid position has a flexible schedule with some night and weekend appointments.

Expectations:

• Knowledge and experience using digital SLR cameras, Photoshop, or similar photography software
• Applicants must provide a link to online samples of their photographs
• Must be able to work well with support staff and clients on a professional level
• Applicants should work well in unfamiliar situations and be compliant with deadlines
