College communication intern

Job description/tasks:
North Lawrence Community Schools, located in Bedford, IN – 18 miles south of Bloomington, is seeking a motivated and creative college intern to join our communications team. This paid position offers a hybrid work environment, with the flexibility to work three days onsite or two days on-site and one day offsite each week. (if desired)
Key Responsibilities:
Visit district school buildings to capture high-quality photos and videos for newsletters and social media.
Write engaging and professional public relations stories to showcase NLCS achievements, events, and initiatives.
Assist the Director of Communications with a variety of tasks, including social media management, content creation, and internal/external communications.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a college program, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
Strong writing and storytelling skills.
Experience with photography and basic photo editing is a plus.
Reliable transportation for travel to district school buildings.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines.

Compensation:
$15/hour
