Live production, streaming, videoboard, and student-centered broadcasts
The Media School’s professional production team and live event support unit provides audio, video, streaming, broadcast, and event production services for Indiana University partners and external clients.
The unit supports a wide range of productions, including live streams, multi- camera broadcasts, university ceremonies, promotional videos, interviews, lectures, performances, studio recordings, event coverage, videoboard productions, and student-led sports broadcasts.
The media productions team also includes Cream and Crimson Studios, the IU Athletics-focused production unit created through a partnership between The Media School and IU Athletics. Together, these teams provide professional production services while creating immersive learning experiences that connect students with real-world media production across campus and athletics.

Media productions staff and students support the following services:
Our team supports live events from planning through execution, including technical coordination, camera operation, audio, lighting, playback, recording, livestreaming, and on-site troubleshooting. Productions may range from university ceremonies and lectures to performances, conferences, and other high-profile campus events.
We produce professional multi-camera productions for live, recorded, and live-to- tape events. Our team supports studio, venue, and remote productions using broadcast workflows designed for reliable event coverage and high-quality delivery.
Cream and Crimson Studios produces live event streams, in-venue videoboard shows, B1G+ broadcasts, and sports-centered video content for IU Athletics. Working alongside industry professionals, students gain experience in live sports production, broadcasting, storytelling, technical operations, and event execution.
Our producers, videographers, lighting specialists, and audio staff support on- location production needs, including interviews, b-roll, press conferences, documentary-style projects, educational videos, promotional content, and event coverage.
Our team turns raw video and audio into polished content through editing, formatting, file delivery, web-ready exports, captioning coordination, and other digital delivery support.
We assist partners with technical planning, production workflows, equipment needs, staffing considerations, and event execution plans. Each request is reviewed based on project scope, timeline, staffing availability, technical requirements, and approved university rate structures.
