Biography
Yushan Xu is a PhD student in Media Arts and Sciences at The Media School. She works as a Research Assistant in the Kinetic Immersion and Extended Reality (KIX) Lab under Professor Ivica Ico Bukvic, focusing on spatial audio and immersive experience design.
She earned her BEng in Industrial Design from Shanghai University and her MSc in Design Engineering from Imperial College London, where she also worked as a Research Assistant at the Audio Experience Design (AXD) Lab, researching the precedence effect and sound localization. Her background spans project design and interaction design, and her past projects include sound-based interactive installations as well as wearable and immersive media works.
