Biography
Robin Robinson joined the Media School as a lecturer in 2023. As part of the Media and Arts Production program, she helps shape the next generation of filmmakers, teaching screenwriting, producing, and production management courses. She imparts her extensive programming knowledge and industry insights to aspiring creatives while challenging them to consider media’s cultural impact and how their future decisions can shape societal perceptions and values.
In addition to teaching, Robin is a passionate advocate for independent film, specializing in documentaries and amplifying emerging voices. Currently a Senior Programmer at the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, Robin brings a wealth of experience in curating diverse genres, gained from her roles at renowned festivals such as True/False, Nashville Film Festival, and Mountainfilm. She has actively contributed to the industry as a screener, reader, grant evaluator, and judge for numerous competitions and festivals. She earned her M.F.A. in Film with a focus on screenwriting at the Watkins College of Film in 2018.
