Biography
Junmo Jin is a Ph.D. student in The Media School. His research focuses on how digital media environments shape public opinion, political expression, and social judgment. He examines why people express or withhold their opinions online, and the psychological and group processes underlying online incivility, malicious commenting, and cancel behavior. He is also interested in the cognitive effects of short-form content and hopes to extend his research into a broader range of communication contexts, including environmental communication.
Before joining The Media School, he served as a planning secretary for the Korean Society for Journalism and Communication Studies (KSJCS), helping organize academic conferences and workshops and coordinate communication among committee members and participants.
Outside of his academic work, he aims to work out at the gym three or four times a week. He also enjoys watching movies and discussing them with others.
