I am a PhD student in the Media School. I'm interested in understanding how the discourses and practices of film, art, and poitics intersect in different time and places. My master thesis focuses on the politics and aesthetics of Robert Kramer's early non-fiction and fiction films (Ice and Milestones in particular). Currently, I'm interested in learning more about how activist groups and filmmakers used film and other media to achieve political ends in the long sixties in the U.S. Before I came to Bloomington, I strudied at Boston University and received an M.F.A. in Film and Television Studies.
