Task Force on Editorial Independence and Sustainability delivers recommendations
The Media School’s Task Force on Editorial Independence and Sustainability has delivered its findings and recommendations, which are now available for the public to review and provide feedback.
The independent task force, composed of students, alumni, faculty, staff, and external experts, was charged with examining the structures, principles, and practices that will best ensure IU student media — including the Indiana Daily Student, IU Student Television, WIUX, and future outlets — remain editorially independent and achieve financial sustainability.
“I am grateful to the members of the independent task force for the many hours of work they have dedicated to this effort,” said Dean David Tolchinsky. “Student media is foundational to the educational and service mission of The Media School.
