Runge wins 2026 ‘Safer Together’ archival contest
Gracie Runge, a recent 2026 graduate of the B.F.A. in Cinematic Arts program, placed first in the annual 2026 “Safer Together” archival remix contest. Hosted by IU Libraries, participants created short videos using archival footage provided by IU Libraries Moving Image Archive to raise awareness about health practices for the sake of the IU community.

Among Runge’s winning production, “Healthy Habits Help Hoosiers,” were three runners-up: Media School postdoctoral candidate Bruno Dariva and undergraduate students Yashna Reddy Pandugala and Chris Remetta.
Each film was judged on originality, quality, appropriateness, and effectiveness of raising awareness of good health practices. Runge received $2,000 and each runner-up received $500.
