IDS wins Best Newspaper, Best News Delivery in CMA Apple Awards
The Indiana Daily Student published the best issue of a newspaper among large four-year colleges in the U.S. during 2018, according to the College Media Association’s David L. Adams Apple Awards contest.
The IDS won and placed in the following categories:
Best Newspaper (four-year, more than 10,000 students)
First place, for its voter guide edition
Best News Delivery
First place, for its election coverage
Best Facebook Page
Second place
Best Tweet
Third place

The Arbutus yearbook won second place for Best Yearbook Spread.
The awards are named after former IU director of student media David L. Adams, who died in 2007 after overseeing the publications for 18 years.
