Charles Musser: ‘Documentary’s Longue Durée: Beginnings, Formations, Genealogies’
Charles Musser, a film historian and documentary filmmaker, will give a lecture called, “Documentary’s Longue Durée: Beginnings, Formations, Genealogies.” He will discuss the history of documentary throughout different forms of technology.
Musser’s films include “An American Potter” (1976), “Before the Nickelodeon: The Early Cinema of Edwin S. Porter” (1982) and “Errol Morris: A Lightning Sketch” (2014). He also co-founded the New Haven Documentary Film Festival in 2014 and is a professor at Yale University.
