‘Since I Been Down’ screening
“Since I Been Down,” directed by Gilda Sheppard, follows Kimonti Carter. Carter founded TEACH, Taking Education and Creating History, an innovative prisoner education program.
This screening is part of the InLight Film Festival. The festival is entirely student-run and features eight screenings and a series of lectures, workshops and roundtables by filmmakers, scholars and community members.
Media School graduate students Cole Nelson and Mallika Khanna curated the festival with support from IU Cinema and the Center for Documentary Research and Practice.
