Fixing Stories by Noah Arjomand
The Global Middle East series of Cambridge University Press has just published HLS postdoctoral scholar Noah Amir Arjomand’s book Fixing Stories: Local Newsmaking and International Media in Turkey and Syria. In this virtual book launch, Arjomand will discuss his book with IU Media School Professor of Practice Joseph Coleman and IU Assistant Professor of Sociology Koji Chavez.
Based on three years of ethnographic fieldwork, Fixing Stories explores the worlds of local news “fixers” who assist foreign journalists and serve an essential but precarious role as bridges across cultural and political rifts.
