Calamity Janes, IU’s women’s ultimate frisbee club
Calamity Jane Ultimate is an ultimate frisbee club at IU. It is a self-officiated sport that welcomes all levels, requiring players to know the rules prior to joining. It focuses on fair play, integrity, and having fun.
For professor Elaine Monaghan’s Story Lab III course, student Chloe Oden sheds light on the niche sports team, highlighting the sense of community and belonging that each teammate feels. It is one of the most inclusive sports to the LGBTQ+ community and allows players to join men’s, women’s, or mixed divisions.
