“You don't really know what the advertising industry is going to be like when you actually walk into it.”
Alumnus Sydney Cohen begins speaking on a Zoom call.
“Got a lot of no's. You have to be really prepared for that, but you have to trust your gut and know that like okay, like Yes, I can do it and just hold onto those few yeses that you do get.”

“It took me a second to kind of put into words how this especially prepared me for life. I think the one word I'd use is tenacity.”

“But what I really like the students to take away from this, is a sense that they've had an authentic experience, we've got some sense of what it actually feels like to be an advertising professional.”

“From like talking about dinosaurs for hours came something that's like in the runnings for a Super Bowl commercial. So like you just never really know what you're going to come to.”

“We were completely blown away at the student work. The TikTok videos, the social media ads, billboards, the artwork, the signage, what they were able to do was incredible.”

“It's nice to have some guidelines and it's nice to make a client happy.”

“They were able to participate and get feedback from leading professionals in the field. And they actually were able to take that feedback and make their projects even stronger.”

“I think Indiana is probably the most innovative school that we do work with.”

“So like, if you wanna do well, you will do well.”

“So having this real experience has given me the chance to see what it's going to be like in my future.
“And this is the first time in my four years that I've thought I'm in the right place.”
