Imam Sohaib Nazeer Sultan died April 16, 2021. He was 40.

He served as the first full-time Muslim life coordinator and chaplain at Princeton University.

Raised in Indiana, he earned a degree in journalism and political science from IU. He was president and senior advisor of the Muslim Students Association. Following graduation, he was a freelance journalist and an Islamic affairs analyst for BBC Radio. He graduated from Hartford Theological Seminary, was profiled in the PBS documentary series “The Calling” and lectured and wrote on Islam, Muslim culture and Muslim-Western relations.
