Greg Sorvig, artistic director at Heartland Film, won the 2024 Spirit of Windrider Award. He serves as Heartland's liaison with major studies, industry, and filmmakers, as well as the leader of the artistic vision and film programming department for its Indy Shorts International Film Festival and Heartland International Film Festival. Sorvig is also the senior associate programmer on the Tribeca Festival shorts team. He was a 2021 International Documentary Association IDA+XRM Media Incubator grant reviewer and a 2022 National Endowment for the Arts American Rescue Plan media arts reader. (January 2024)
