Nicole Berner Kauffman is a fiction writer and freelance columnist. She wrote for newspapers for 10 years before the birth of her children, after which she did freelance writing for magazines and the web. Now, she enjoys writing fiction, particularly mysteries for children ages 8 to 12. Most recently, she authored a column on guns and school safety in the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette. (March 2018)
