Jeff Fleischer will be in Chicago for a discussion and signing to celebrate the release of his novel, "Civic Minded: What Everyone Should Know About the US Government," on Oct. 2 through Lerner/Zest Books.

Fleischer is the author of eight books, including three titles that were published in 2024. The third edition of his civics book "Votes of Confidence: A Young Person's Guide to American Elections," significantly updated for the 2024 election, was published in March 2024 by the same publisher. Jeff's first fiction short-story collection, "Animal Husbandry" was published in September 2024 by Running Wild Press, including stories that have appeared in publications including the Chicago Tribune's Printers Row Journal, the Saturday Evening Post, and Shenandoah. Fleischer lives in Chicago with his wife and puppy, and edits for a range of clients. (September 2024)
