Lori Bergen was appointed to the Poynter Institute’s board of trustees. Bergen is the founding dean of the University of Colorado Boulder’s College of Media, Communication and Information. She has previously served as dean of the J. William and Mary Diederich College of Communication at Marquette University, associate director of the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Kansas State University and director of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University. (December 2017)
